Michael Jordan is the best and most exciting human being to ever play the game of basketball. The way he dribbled and had his opponents going in the wrong direction, should have drew a fine. His legacy will be forever remembered as his "Airness" and for good reason. He literally flew when he went up to dunk on an opponent.

No matter what team you pulled for in the NBA, you just had to cheer for Jordan as he would leave you in awe with his blasting and everlasting slam dunks. He knew no fear on the basketball court, as all of his unbreakable records and NBA titles will show.

So with that being said, it is no wonder why his NBA basketball cards are worth so much money these days. His 1986 Fleer rookie card sky-rocketed to over $1000.00 dollars when he was playing in his glory days. Today it books for around 600.00 dollars without professional grading.

But as soon as you can buy your next pack of cards, it can and will usually go right back up in value just as all of his cards do. An even more scarce card of Jordan`s rookie card is the sensitive 1984 Star card #101. In its hay-day it went as high as $2900.00 dollars, believe it or not. If you are lucky enough to find one, I would recommend buying it as a family heirloom!

Even if you can`t afford Air Jordan`s rookie cards, you can settle on some of his early 90`s cards as well as his insert basketball cards made by topps, fleer, or skybox. They are more affordable if you are just starting to collect Jordan, or you are just looking to add more of his cards to your collection of Jordan memorabilia.
